Apple has agreed to pay $50 million to settle a class-action lawsuit accusing the company of being aware of defective MacBook laptop keyboards.

And the technical website “The Verge” indicated that the keyboards, called “Butterfly” panels, were introduced on the “MacBook” devices produced in 2015, and their users suffered from the ease of stopping responding completely and malfunctioning due to dust or dirt, indicating that the company could not To avoid these shortcomings in the latest versions of the keyboard until it was abandoned in 2020.

The technical website stated that the proposed settlement still requires the approval of the judge hearing the case.
