Genesis was named Best Luxury Brand in the US JD Power 2022 Initial Quality Survey, and advanced three places in the overall ranking. The survey reported that all Genesis models scored better than the average for their segment, which is a significant achievement for the brand.
The Genesis brand's executive sedan, the G80, was named Best Midsize Luxury Car for the second year in a row.
At the heart of the sedan segment within the Genesis range is the G80, offering the perfect balance between comfort and refined performance. For 2022, the brand introduced the G80 Sport, adding a powerful new design, revised suspension, rear-wheel steering, and other details of the executive sedan.
The annual survey ranks car manufacturers and their products according to problems per hundred vehicles (PP100). The Genesis brand and its cars had the lowest level of problems to win in its class. Genesis ranked number one in initial quality among premium brands from 2017 to 2020, and continued its strong performance in 2021, where it achieved the second position.
