Hyundai RRN22E and Vision 74: Two new high-performance electric concepts

Hyundai Motor's high-performance N sub-brand has revealed two new electric concepts, the RN22e and the Vision 74.

Hyundai's RNA-22 E concept blends the all-new IONIQ-6 under the company's E-GMP global electrical system, with a new benchmark in high-performance electric vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Hyundai N-Vision 74 combines EV technology with an advanced hydrogen fuel cell system, making it the first hydrogen-powered hybrid lab for the Hyundai N N to explore “the joy of driving” in the electric age. and the Hyundai N2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept car unveiled in 2015 with a hydrogen-based high-performance development.

The Vision 74 uses two engines in the rear wheels only, generating more than 671 hp (500 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The setup also uses precise torque vectoring to improve cornering, and with both the battery and fuel cell filled, a range of more than 373 miles (600 km) is achieved.

Measuring 4,952 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width and 1,331 mm in height on a 2,905 mm wheelbase, the Vision 74 is the first high-performance concept based on the most advanced hydrogen fuel cell system Hyundai has ever created. The RNA-22E measures 4,915 mm in length, 2,023 mm in width and 1,479 mm in height on a 2,950 mm wheelbase.

The RN-22E delivers 577 hp (430 kW) with AWD, and provides optimized torque distribution according to different driving modes that allow drivers to choose the torque output to the front and rear wheels. To enhance its ability on the racetrack, the focus has been on cooling and braking systems to enhance endurance.

The RNA22e offers customized track settings to allow customers to enjoy with four monobloc piston tongs and a 400mm hybrid disc that allows the weight of the PE system to be tolerated. In addition, you will use a dynamic motion system with regenerative braking that precisely controls yaw and cornering attack.

The company is developing new features, such as the emotional driving experience of the electrified models, incorporating a distinctive audio system via the interior and exterior speakers, as well as integrating the N e-shift system to sense vibration and shift with the N Sound+, for a dynamic driving feel.

By adapting the IONIQ6's aerodynamic design, the RNA22e takes advantage of the electric vehicle's new aerodynamic features, to maximize performance, while adding racing-inspired details such as low ground clearance and tighter shoulders, giving its design a wide, powerful stance.
